Welcome Baby Corbin!
My newest nephew, Corbin James, was born last Wednesday. He is soooooooo adorable. I could just eat him up! Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing well. Mom and Dad are experiencing the joys and trials of caring for a baby in its first few weeks of life. Oh, I remember those days. Hang in there!
We Love You Guys!
Proud papa and big brother
Proud auntie (me)
Pops, Clay, Nana, and Corbin
(Clay is still learning the concept of "Look, but don't touch!")
Welcome Tuffo!
(Pronounced "Two - fo")
Barbara (Rob's mom) and Peter have an addition to their family as well. Little Tuffo is a Lagotto Romagnolo and he is a puffy bundle of sweetness. Lagottos were bred to find truffles in Italy. The breed is rare in North America. Fortunately for us, there's a good breeder in East Tennessee. Tuffo is short for Tartufo which means "truffle" in Italian. Clay loves going to Grandma's house and seeing the "uppy."
Tuffo is currently away at summer camp getting trained to be more civilized (i.e. house broken, etc.) We can't wait for you to get back, Tuffo!
Mother's Day Out
Clay started Mother's Day Out a couple weeks ago at a church down the street from our house. He LOVES it. So do I! He goes twice a week which I think is a good amount of time for his first "school days" away from home. His teachers tell me he has taken to it "like a fish to water" and that "it is like he has been here all along!" Thank goodness. When I drop him off in the mornings he can be a little clingy, but he never cries, and apparently he recovers quickly. I think it helps that I drop him off on the playground. Swings, slides, and sandboxes can be good distractions!
He has a best friend named Hudson who he "talks" with all the time. I would love to know what they discuss. I imagine most of their conversations are gibberish, but I'm so glad he has found a friend so quickly.
The first morning of Mother's Day Out.
(He posed on his own accord. I didn't put him there.)
His ice painting. It's on display in our kitchen.
We're so proud of our doodle-bug!
